MI PEQUEÑO BUDA EN CROCHET - MY LITTLE CROCHETED BUDDHA

En mis momentos difíciles son muchas las palabras de Buda que me iluminan:
"Siente compasión por todos los seres humanos,  tanto ricos como pobres, cada uno tiene su sufrimiento. Unos sufren demasiado y otros sufren demasiado poco"

"La mayor oración es la paciencia"
Y tuve la idea de hacer uno en crochet...

 And I had the idea of making a crocheted Buddha.

SAN JORGE Y EL DRAGÓN EN CROCHET - CROCHETED ST. GEORGE AND THE DRAGON

Érase una vez un dragón que causaba pánico en una pequeña aldea. Cada día los habitantes de la aldea le ofrecían al dragón un sacrificio animal o humano para evitar así que causara desastres en la misma. Para ser justos todos decidieron sortear a la victima que sería entregada al dragón.

Un día la victima elegida fue la hija del buen rey.

El rey tenía el corazón roto al saber que iba a perder a su querida hija pero tambien tuvo que comprender que hubieron muchos aldeanos que también habían perdido a sus hijos.

Cuando la princesa iba en su caballo para afrontar su destino fatal tuvo la suerte de encontrarse con San Jorge.

Cuando él supo de su destino decidió que la salvaría del dragón matándolo.

¡Y así lo hizo!
Se cree que este el el origen de todas las leyendas de princesas, caballeros y terribles bestias.

Once upon a time there was a dragon who caused havoc in a small village. Every day villagers would offer the dragon human or animal sacrificies in order to keep him away. The villagers would ramdomly choose the one to be sacrificed. One day the elected victim was the daughter of the good king.

The king’s heart broke knowing that he would loose his beloved daughter but he understood that it had to be done for many of the villagers had also lost their sons.

While the princess was riding her horse to face her fatal destiny, she was lucky to meet St. George. When he found out which was her intention he decided that he would save her from the dragon by killing the beast.

And he did!

It is believed that this is the origin of all the tales of princesses, knights and awful beasts.

PRINCESA - PRINCESS

En algún momento de la infancia casi todas las niñas sueñan con ser princesas. Se acerca el cumpleaños de una amiguita y una de las sorpresas será esta corona...Me gusta tanto que soy capaz de hacerme una para mí. ;)

At a certain moment of childhood all girls dream to be a princess. The birthday of a little friend is coming soon. This crown will be one of the surprises for her...I like it so much that I'm even thinking of crocheting one for me! ;)

TENDINITIS

Tenía que pasar. Llevaba semanas con un ligero dolor en la muñeca izquierda. Fué aumentando hasta convertirse insoportable. Debo descansar unos días. Extrañaré no poder hacer crochet.

Aún así... ¡FELIZ LABOR!

It had to happen. Been feeling a slight pain (for several weeks) on my left wrist. It grew in such an unbearable way.... I must have some rest during several ways. I'll miss crocheting...
And still.... HAPPY HOOKING!

FELIZ 9O CUMPLE MAMI - HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY MOM

Sí. 90 años. La vida ha sido dura y buena con ella. El 2011 no ha sido demasiado benevolente con ella. Pero su diminuto y fuerte cuerpo la ha ayudado ha salir adelante. Lleva unos días algo apagada pero ya tiene 90 añitos. Grabé un primer video y no sé que hice pero lo borré así que repetimos la canción de Cumpleaños Feliz. Y ella que le gusta la música disfrutó el doble mientras comía su trozo de pastel casero.
Doy gracias al Universo por haberme concedido unos padres tan maravillosos. Doy gracias al cielo por poder tener a Mamá conmigo. Doy gracias por todas esas pequeñas – grandes bendiciones que hay en mi vida.

Gracias Mami por darme la vida. Te amo. Feliz cumpleaños.

Yes, 90 years old. Life has been hard and good to her. 2011 was not a particularly good year for her. But her tiny and strong body managed to keep her alive. In the last days she has felt a bit “under the weather” but today she turned 90!!!!. I recorded a first video but don’t know what I did so we had to repeat the Happy Birthday song again for her. She was really happy for she loves music and really enjoyed listening to us while having her piece of homemade birthday cake.
I thank the Universe for having granted me such wonderful parents. I thank heaven for having Mom with me. I thank for all those little – big blessings in my life.

Thank you Mom for bringing me to life. I love you. Happy birthday
